Texas electricity provider recognized for “outstanding” website

Author: Adam Cain | Updated:

Texas electricity provider Bounce Energy recently announced that it has been recognized for having one of the best websites in the energy industry.

BounceEnergy.com was entered into competition for the Web Marketing Association’s 15th annual “WebAward Competition.” These awards recognize websites in dozens of industries, from energy to arts to radio. The ratings are based on a wide range of features including design, technology, content, interactivity, innovation, copywriting and ease of use. Receiving grades from 0 to 10 on each of these factors, Bounce Energy managed a score of 62.5 out of a possible 70, earning it the distinction of “Outstanding Website.”

The site offers some tools to help take advantage of deregulated prices as well as seeks to increase customer engagement. The company has put substantial effort toward raising its online profile, making its Facebook page one of the most popular among all electricity providers.

The Houston Chronicale notes that these efforts have become increasingly important with deregulation in full swing in the state. While the move has led to lower electric bills for many customers, it also means electricity suppliers must put a greater emphasis on customer relations.
