North American Power takes home two Gold Stevie Awards

North American Power, a retail energy provider that has worked to introduce green energy into the grid, was recently honored with two Gold Stevie awards at the 10th Annual American Business Awards in New York City.

The Connecticut-based electric provider was named the top Energy Company of the Year, and company co-founder Kerry Breitbart was given the title of Energy and Utilities Executive of the Year.

Breitbart was honored with the award for his “leadership in the creation of a platform that brings renewable energy to the masses,” the company said, adding the he regularly gives back to charity and invigorates the company through a referral-based business. The award underscores the company’s rapid growth in deregulated energy markets in the two years it has been serving customers.

“It is such an honor to be in the company of businesses that are creating jobs, innovating new technologies and finding ways to give back as they grow,” Breitbart stated. “These are the tenants of our business, and we look forward to a very bright future for our employees, independent representative and customers.”

Energy deregulation laws have changed the way power companies operate. With more competition, businesses have started to offer more incentives to catch the attention of people who are planning to switch electricity providers.
