Electricity Provider Offers Affordable Wind Energy in Pennsylvania

Author: Adam Cain | Updated:

Washington Gas Energy Services (WGES) is now offering 100% Pennsylvania-produced wind energy to customers in the PECO, Penelec, and MetEd service areas in Pennsylvania.

The offering, WGES PA WindPower, is currently being derived from Lookout Wind Farm, located in Somerset County. As more customers sign up, more sources of Pennsylvania wind will add to the mix.

When business or residential customers switch to WGES, they can either sign up for a 50% or 100% wind plan. Currently, this green electricity provider is offering a special introductory rate for both residents and businesses when they sign up for a 1-year term.

Whether you’re a residential customer looking to be more environmentally conscious, or you work for a business that is looking to reduce its carbon footprint, wind energy is a viable option for your needs. As wind energy production in the nation grows, prices become more competitive and are now more affordable than ever.

Important for businesses, WGES PA WindPower is Green-e Certified as a competitive electricity product. Unlike traditional electricity sources, wind energy releases no pollution into the air or water and doesn’t contribute to global warming.
